The New Orleans Pelicans have submitted their official injury report to the NBA ahead of their game against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. The report lists four key players as injured:
- Zion Williamson (right hamstring strain)
- Brandon Ingram (right foot soreness)
- CJ McCollum (left ankle sprain)
- Herbert Jones (left knee hyperextension)
Zion Williamson, the team's star forward, will miss Friday's NBA Play-In Tournament game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a right hamstring strain. Williamson also missed the team's play-in game last season due to an injury.
Brandon Ingram is listed as day-to-day with right foot soreness. CJ McCollum and Herbert Jones are both questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.
The Pelicans were 7-5 in games that Williamson played this season. He had a memorable postseason debut on Tuesday night, dropping in 40 points in a Game 1 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
The Pelicans are hoping that Williamson will be able to return for Sunday's potential Game 3 against the Lakers. The forward is expected to return to practice on Thursday.
